The goal of guest professorships is to give students the opportunity to learn first-hand from experts in their fields, to complement what they learn as part of the curriculum. Guest professorships aim to broaden students’ knowledge and make them more familiar with their existing lecture program and topics addressed by select academics and renowned figures from the worlds of business and politics.

It is for this reason that the Dr. Jost Henkel Stiftung funds guest professorships from Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf and the University of Münster.

HEINRICH HEINE ECONOMICS PROFESSORSHIP

With the support of the Dr. Jost Henkel Stiftung, Düsseldorf’s Heinrich Heine University launched the Heinrich Heine Economics Professorship in 2011. The program features important figures from both the academic and business worlds that have noteworthy things to say about current economic matters.

The Heinrich Heine Economics Professorship comprises two public lectures and one seminar with economics and business students. The public lectures are aimed at representatives from politics and business, interested parties from local and regional government, as well as university members.

UNIVERSITY OF MÜNSTER GUEST PROFESSORSHIP

Since 2018, the Dr. Jost Henkel Stiftung has sponsored the guest professorship of Professor Wayne Hoyer as part of Consumer Behavior studies at the University of Münster.
